WHAT IS A DOULA?

birth supportA doula (or birth coach) is a trained woman who provides continuous support for women and couples during pregnancy, labour, birth and the immediate postnatal time. The role of a doula is not a clinical one; rather we work alongside both midwives and doctors.

As a doula, my goal is to give you and your partner all the confidence you need to go into labour feeling safe and secure. During labour and birth I can provide you with the best coaching you can possibly get.

Giving birth is an emotional and physical experience, with a long-term impact on you, your partner and your baby. The more confident you feel in this process and the more it is in line with your personal wishes, the more warm and loving experience the birth of your baby will be.

“Thank you so much for being part of our very special moment. That was quite a journey and it wouldn’t have been the same without you. You were there for us with lots of positive attitude and motivating thoughts. Now, more than before, we know that we made a great choice with having a doula present and even a better choice by choosing you to be there.”
