WHAT ABOUT THE PARTNER?

diemer & koertJust like a doula is not a midwife, nurse or doctor, she’s not the partner of the woman in labour either. For a partner the birth can be a difficult process. It is easy to get carried away with emotion or to not know the best way of giving support. I can encourage your partner to participate in the birth as much as they want

My goal therefore is to take the pressure away from their shoulders. Both during pregnancy and the birth itself, I can provide special attention to the things a partner can do for you, whilst supporting your partner in a way that they feel confident in taking good care of you. This way a partner can be there for you wholeheartedly.

Michiel, father of Aurelia

“The task of women is obvious during delivery and she has to do the hard work. For a partner, it is much more difficult to understand what he can do to make it easier on her. With your help I felt useful and commited in a very pleasant way. We were a good team!”
